
This update serves as the concluding chapter in the series of my unfortunate ordeal. Yesterday, at approximately 2:15 p.m., the technician arrived, equipped with a compact yet formidable tool bag across his shoulders. He stood tall, his hat turned backward, clad in his trusty old jeans and a Verizon shirt.
After exchanging greetings, I promptly led him to the troublesome box, desperate to restore my service. As soon as his eyes fell upon the box, he unraveled the true nature of the enigma.
“It appears that your box has been disconnected from the main frame,” he revealed. He ascended to the second floor, and after roughly 20 minutes, he returned with disconcerting news. It seemed that some mischievous act had transpired, and I had become the unfortunate victim.
A Verizon technician had deliberately removed my plug from its designated slot and carelessly placed it in an inoperative location. Instead, he inserted another customer’s cable into my slot, leaving me without service for the entire weekend.
The new technician, Jason, repeatedly assured me that this was solely Verizon’s fault and had nothing to do with my actions. Our previous technician had made a grievous error. To my astonishment and dismay, out of all the units connected to the mainframe, I was chosen to have my service interrupted without remorse.
Thus, the mystery was unraveled. My service had been intentionally disconnected to accommodate another customer. Am I angry? Absolutely. I will promptly contact customer service, demanding the name of the technician who serviced our building on Saturday around 11:30 a.m.
It was not until Monday, after 3 p.m., that my service was finally restored. All because of the incompetence of a technician who prioritized his customer’s satisfaction over mine.
On Saturday, when my service went out I called for help, but the support tech proved discourteous and unhelpful.
This experience has taught me that sometimes malicious actions occur, and no one seems to care. It is a cruel reality, and the technician responsible for this incompetence should face consequences for his actions.
As I conclude this final post regarding my internet service woes, I realize the extent of my anger towards the situation. However, I shall digress and let it go, for my energy and peace of mind are far more valuable.
